Literature Review
I took two different papers on Irish American history during the
19th and 20th centuries and lays out the facts presented in
each of them. I also present different stances formed by each of
these two papers and compare them both to determine how
well they present their topics to their readers.
Museum Journal
While I was taking this class, we were all required to take a field
trip to the EPIC museum in Dublin which covers Irish emigration
and its legacies. For this journal, I compiled my time going
through the museum exhibit by exhibit, and gave my visitor's
opinion on the entire experience.
Final Essay
My final essay wrote on the influence that Irish American political machines held on American politics during the 19th and 20th centuries. This timeline focuses on the creation of these urban political machines, how they used and maintained their influence during that time, and how they fell by using the case study of Tammany Hall in New York City.
