American Myths and Marketing
This first entry is centered around another paper which
states that the prominent American myths of the American
Dream and American Adam are derived from Puritan and
Transcendental ideals. My essay took those ideas presented in
that paper and assert how those beliefs affect modern
American consumption on a fundamental level using the
specific example of a product release that received a lot of
negative press before improving itself and its reception.

Media Bias in Language
After writing and adding my own thought to someone else's
ideas, I was told to come up with my own. This essay analyses
media bias among three different sources with the case study
of the Indian Supreme Court ruling against gay marriage in
2023. Instead of trying to find overt lies in each article, like what
most people think of when they think of 'bias', I had to analyze
the language each source chose to use in each part of the
event, and how those choices reflect their audience's viewpoints
and values.
Imagined Communities
Based on Mary Louise Pratt's 1999 paper "Arts of the Contact
Zone," this paper takes the ideas present in her essay and
applies them to groups present at Northeastern University, the
university I am attending, and successfully argue that the
school failed at implementing her ideas despite them sharing
the same vision of a shared and intertwined community.

Final Reflection
For my final task, I had to reflect on the entire semester, and how I had grown compared to my time before this creative writing class.
